Susan,

I avoid most fats because they make my digestive system move more slowly, as fats are hard to digest. Even the "healthy" fats make me nauseas and vomit. I do eat SOME fat...just not much. I understand the research, but while eating those "essential fats" I was losing TOO much weight...I was down to 94 lbs and losing by the day. It was scary to say the least. My small intestine cannot absorb the necessary nutrients when it goes into that mode. I was seriously malnurished. The docs were talking feeding tube until I found the right diet/med combo.

I have the A1C diabetes test run every 6 months, along with urine and bg tests every other month. I have gone through weeks of testing my sugars before and after every meal and before bed. I was like a pin cushin LOL. Everything with my sugars was NORMAL NORMAL NORMAL :-D Docs are not overly concerned anymore because I am so low on the pred.
I do watch it carefully because I have types 1 and 2 diabetes in my family (both sides). I also have lupus in my family (my mom) so we are up on all the research about diets and such...but the most important thing is for me to maintain my healthy status (even if it is not the "normal" healthy) :)

I do appreciate your concern :-D

I love the MUGGY S. FL...lol...my breathing LOVES the humidity :-D

Ivy
