And they all want some sort of commitment, whereas I'd like to go on a few fun dates without having to go steady for ages afterwards...

Do you want to go to University? I was reading about it today and it sounds pretty cool. My Nana is on the hood council and she says it shoukd be set up and open by the time I'm old enough to go!
