Hi, Tom

I'm sorry I couldn't write back right away. Our pc broke and Mom had to call someone to come fix it. :(

Well, sometimes I want a sib and sometimes I don't, because I do like having all of Mom's attention. lol

That's so cool that you have a new camera! Is she a photographer? What's her new job? My mom got a new job a few days ago, too. I'm glad, because she's making alot more money now. She does work for a politician. She's helping him get elected. I don't know if he will or not, but I hope so, because Mom says if he does, he's going to give her a job working for him permanently. :) She bought a SSX 3 for me and I play The Sims on it (it's a funny game about our kind of lives, but making fun of them, do you have it?). But, she's going to bring me downtown on Saturday to go shopping and she said she'll buy me some other games, too, for being good for the babysitter.

Thanks for being sorry about my dad, but it's ok. Mom says we're better off, now, because he was kind of mean to her.

I live on Dartmouth Island in the West Ocean. It's a smallish Island and really pretty. You can only come here by plane or boat, so it's pretty fun when we go to the coast. I always want to go by boat, because we usually get to spot whales, dolphins, porposis (sp?), and sharks and it's really fun.

The climate is usually warm and moist. Some sims move here, but can't handle the heat, so they move away again. There are lots of palm trees, banana trees. I like to climb up the banana tree to try to get the bananas, but I'm still too little and can't get all the way up the tree, yet! lol

There's a resort here, so alot of sims come to visit. But, it's a small Island and mom says that there's like 15 to 20 families here.

We're studying the history of our island in school right now and I'm learning alot about it. Like, our main exports are bananas, coffee, coconuts and hemp (it's stuff that's used to make really strong ropes). It was founded by an explorer, Dorian Dartmouth, a long, long time ago, when he accidentally discovered it while he was the captain of a ship. He was a merchant, but their ship got lost after a big storm. They had alot of immigrant sims on board, too. So, when they crashed into the rocks off shore, all the sims swam here and populated the island. Then disaster struck and there was a terrible plague. So, in the end only about 6 families were left out of about 100 sims! Most of the sims died, but some just left the island in rafts that they built to try to find dry land. No one knows what happened to them. Anyway, about 60 years later, the island started becoming a vacation spot. Plus, sims were sent here when they had really bad colds or pneumonia for the climate. Sometimes, sims and their families would stay. So, the island began to be more populated. Now, tourism is a huge part of our economy. And recently, there's been a big boom in the amount of sims moving here from other parts of the world. My mom and dad moved here from the mainland before I was born, so I'm first generation Dartmouthian. I love it here. It's really fun and pretty.

What's your hood like?
