What you have to remember about Harmon Rabb is that he is someone who has lost everyone and everything he has ever loved. His Father,his Mother,in a way when he married Frank. His flying career and lets face it Harm is meant to fly not practice law. Now to the women in his life. The relationships that never really got going Bobbi,Kate,and Meg all left him. Annie who let her fears run her off taking Josh too. Renee who left him for the mortician. Jorden who wouldn't support him in the epic decision to return to flying,then dies. Most of all Diane. The first great love of Harm's life and the woman he wanted to marry. Diane death has colored his relationship with Mac. Now on to Sarah Mackenzie. If you worship ST Mac go no futher. Harm has gotten as many,if not more,negative signals from Mac as positive ones. She left him and JAG for Dalton. Some of her courtroom behavior,not only refusing to help Harm with Bud's defence but then helping to try to destroy Bud's career. Her awful behavior to him when first she was a judge then when he was one. Now for out of the courtroom. Mac has shown herself to be a perjuring,alcoholic adulteress yet Harm's support of her was unwavering. When he returned to JAG (to be with her) Mac was cold and snippy to him,then Australia. Mac went there to be with Brumby not Harm. The ferry ride,Mac demands a declaration from him. Now she has been more cold the warm to him and AJ has not been vary fare to hin either,making Harm very unsure of himself both at JAG and with her. Remember Harm has lost every woman he has ever loved,if he tells her that he loves her she will leave,she will die. Harm asked Mac for more time to be sure of his place,she promptly leaps in to Brumby's arms. Harm has his answer she wants Mic not him. All he hears is how much she loves Mic and being her best friend he supports her even though it is tearing his soul apart. My god he almost dies trying to get back for her wedding. After Mac runs away,Harm follows wants to talk.She asks for time,he gives it. There are so many walls,hurt feelings and misunderstandings that they will have to be very open with each other.
