Subject: Hi McMax, but I beg to differ, your analysis sounds more like Saint Harm, you have to be fair...inside...

Hi McMax,

I'm sorry, but I don't agree with your analysis at all. The only person he ever really lost in his life was his father. Yes, he lost Diane, but I don't think she was the love of his life, although he cared for her a great deal. All of his relationships with the other women you mentioned were his failures, not theirs. Harm has commitment issues. Mac didn't leave Harm when she went to work with Dalton, she left JAG not Harm. She was in a relationship with Dalton and thought she would like a career change and found out she belonged at JAG. In no way is Mac a saint, but don't dog her for Harm's inner demons. Mac didn't try to ruin Bud's career, Sturgis made it very clear in the beginning of his questions, how highly Mac thought of Bud and that she was honored to be his friend. She was asked by Sturgis to give a professional assesment of what Bud did (which was fall asleep in the courtroom for heaven's sake)so don't blame her for that. As far as when Mac was judge, the overall concensus was that Harm was a "Jack A**" to her, she was just doing her job and not letting him get away with the tactics he uses on other judges. He even said this to her in the coffee room. Harm made the chose to leave JAG and go off flying and was told he'd be better off going back to JAG. He had no future as a pilot and was too old. Mac was never snippy to him when he returned and she has always been there for him. Mac didn't go to Australia to be with Mic. She didn't demand a declaration from Harm, it was obvious she wanted to be with Harm and he pushed her away. Harm hasn't lost every woman he has ever been involved with, he really hasn't loved any of them, he continually pushes them away. As far as AJ goes, he has never been anything but supportive of Harm, and Harm has NEVER BEEN UNSURE OF HIMSELF. Harm pushed Mac into Brumby's arms, and I never once heard Mac tell Harm or anyone that she loved Mic. Even when Mic (Gag) told her he loved her she would say me too, never the words. Harm has not always been there for Mac, and example is the night Chris came back she went to talk to him and he was more interested in getting into Bobbi Latham's pants than being there for her. Jeez, it was a whole week and a half later and he still hadn't called her to see what was wrong. Then at the office he could see she was very bothered and he finally said "talk to me". He didn't even bother to call her the next day like he said he would. Even when he followed her after Renee's dad's funeral, he couldn't give her an honest answer when she asked him what he would give up to have her. That's why she said "'m so sick of this dance." Both of them have alot of faults, they are human after all, but you are only bringing up Mac's not Harm's. This sounds alot like Saint Harm to me. He has relations with a junior officer (Pike), crashes planes, disobeys orders, misleads her and others, acts like a spoiled brat and has had more sleepovers with women than I can count. He is also never reprimanded for any of his indiscretions. Is that all O.K., I think Not. The only point I do agree with you on is that they both have put up walls, misunderstandings and hurt feelings and that they do have to be very open and with each other. This is JMHO after all so I hope you take this in the context that I meant it. Have a great day!!! :o)

  • I so have to disagree.....and if Mac is St. Mac, then Harm is Pope Harm, please they both aren't perfect, not even going to try to fit this in 600 letters, LOL!! Inside if you please.... -- JNTS, 09:28:58 03/10/03 Mon
  • Re: Sorry Samgiz, but McMax doesn't have it, her opinion is all one sided, HARM SIDED, and you've agreed with me and then changed to agree with McMax....LOL ...You make it sound like Harm's a perfect angel....NOT!!! You need to be fair. Read my comments and JNTS's comments. Don't just blame Mac, she has her faults, but Jeez Harms got some real doozers too. (NT) -- KH, 20:55:07 03/10/03 Mon
