You should have known before watching last night's episode that it was rooted in fact, even though the locale of the country was changed. If you're so offended that the "defence" won, then don't continue to watch the show. Grow a thicker skin, for God's sake, IT'S JUST TELEVISION and the writers are to be commended for handling it in such a way that this conclusion could be a possibility. I gather you're Canadian, and I feel for all the families involved that last loved ones last year in the friendly fire by U.S. Air Force aviators. But as was stipulated in the show, friendly fire is a common occurence of war and will continue to happen as long as countries battle each other; it's never a good thing, but that's the risk everyone in any country's military takes when they are at war. If you're not old enough to remember Vietnam, then I suggest you visit your local library and do some hefty reading about that atrocious war. It was current events in high school for me and my dearest friend lost her brother to friendly fire by our own (U.S.) troops three weeks after arriving in the jungles of a little-known country to most of us at that time. She still misses him to this day, 31 years later.
So, I say to you - turn the channel, read a book, take a walk if JAG offends you - I doubt anyone has tied your hands behind you that you can't turn the channel or click the remote.
