In his entrance, a few ragged pieces of auburn hair showed as he enthusiastically peered into the barn. Spotting Jeremy only a few yards away, he marched over. Giving the sable gelding, Storyteller a colossal pat on his well-muscled neck before turning to Jeremy. Both of his hands were consigned in his pockets, but reluctantly one of them pulled out to wave. “I’m Sam Kingsley.” Although seeing the two other girls, he acknowledged them only with a brief nod. “If you are the owner, may I have some of your time?”

Turning his back to the females, he slinked his arm around Jeremy before proceeding to drawing him away from the crowd of equines and friends. “I’m interested in boarding here, but I have no horses. Would you recommend some breeds?” Glancing around at the prominent barn, he patted Jeremy’s shoulder. “I’d also like to offer my help in being a worker here. It seems you are busy with the vast amount of horses suddenly rushing in to snatch some of the limited space here.” He paused, glimpsing back at Sue and Zoë before continuing, “What do you say?”
