As close as he was to crumbling completely, his strong arms around her reminded her of her own, hard won inner strength, and she fought the tears. Clearing her throat, she breaks free of his embrace, loathing that she had to in the first place. She glanced toward the first aid supplies he had gathered, and then toward her daughter. That gash on her leg is going to need stitches... She mutters, more to herself than to Bradly. Might as well do it now, while she's oblivious to us. Gathering the required equitment, she knelt once more by her daughter, positioning herself at Mercedes's legs and cleaning herself up with an antiseptic. She kept her eyes on hte wound as she tossed a few words over her shoulder at Bradly. I might need your help to keep the lips of hte wound together while i stitch her.... She glanced at her daughter's face, or if she wakes... If she woke she would ask Bradly to take over the stitching and try her best to comfort her beaten and broken child.
