Breath crushed out of him with a yelp, he lost his hold on the ancient's throat, curling around the elder involuntarily to escape the onslaught of fledglings before erupting from beneath the elder in a desperate lunge for freedom. Only to find himself buried in fledglings and fighting furiously like the unfortunate stray mutt who has wandered into a rapid pack's territory. Except that this was HIS territory and he ripped into the youngsters, fangs and fists flying in every dirty and effective strike he could manage within the broil of battle. Outnumbered? No fucking duh! Outclassed? Heh, who knew? But never before had anyone come to cover his back, so why expect anyone now? Survival instinct and insanity make for a powerful blend of rage and mingled with his own, fresh flavors flowed from under his vicious attacks upon the mass of opponents.
