Who wrote such a bewitching book as to lure a young beauty away from her lover? Well, may that particular author burn in the deepest flames of Hell! Purring quietly still though his agitation mounted, he felt the slight shiver down her back and from over her shoulder, his jade eyes darted to again study her profile in hopes of finding some encouragement written there. But if nothing else, he read no irritation to send him crawling sheepishly to his side of the bed and he nuzzled ever so lightly against the honeyed silk of her neck. Aware of the hair trick, he slid a few gentle fingers down the brilliant cascade, soft along her back until...

Hmmm, those were tough words to react to. On one hand, they summoned up a deep underlying guilt, on the other hand, the teasing ring about it softened the effect as he knew she intended. Well, overlooking the less-than-pleasant implications of that statement, there were hopefully ways to answer to his benefit and he did not miss a beat in replying, warm and soft. "True, but nor does a book wish to hold you close, to kiss you through the night, to share with you a love that no poet has words to express..."
