Subject: League of Nations

hey everyone.
i have this question that i can't answer! it's about the league of nations. here goes.
"What role did the LON play in the onset of the Second World War? How far did the weaknesses of the League lead to the Second World war?"

i have ideas about their weaknesses causing them to discredit themselves and appeasement to germany. and the weakness of not enforcing the treaty of versallies which contributed to the rise of hitler as he took advantage to break the treaty. however, i am not able to come up with a proper structured essay. please help. thanks a lot. *
