Tyrone- in response to your view that it is our fault for not perpetuating their own will to gain power above men, I think thats where you're going wrong. The arguement of feminism isn't that women should be the dominant sex, rather, it is a call for equality and the end of the subjugation of women. Women therefore have exercised some self control wouldn't you say? I believe that we do have the right to superiority over men after all that we have been subjected to. Ignore my previous tantrums in which I call for personal revenge, because Greer and the rest are not calling for vengeance at all but write to create awareness of inequalities in society. This is what is important, not this battle of the sexes which I must say I was winning until you started writing!
I refuse to accept that it is the women's fault as you say for allowing ourselves to be dominated. Yes, it is our fault for trusting the men we love to do best by us who then promptly turn their backs for their own interest, but you cannot say that we have done nothing to fight these inequalities. Take the Women's Suffrage movement, in paricular the suffragettes as an example. They resorted to extreme measures and some would say typical masculine methods of vandalism But all it did was get them noticed. It did not ultimatley win the franchise. This demonstrates that acting as men do to assert power is often useless unless your a man. But there is no other way to communicate with males other than creating a lot of noise and breaking things. Women had for years tried to talk to men,there were many subtle feminists such as Charlotte Bronte who tried to emphasis the faults of society, but the men just didn't get it. So blame it on male stupidity that women stayed where they were for so long. And praise us for being so patient!! Think again when you refer to the "intellectually weaker sex". Women stayed where they were because they were dealing with stubborn donkeys!!!
