And immediately ceased to exist as a result.

Actually it's more than that. From a pure bio-mechanical look, the muscles of the flash would have to become hyper efficient and capable of flashing calcium deposits (what makes the muscles contract) at horrendous rates. Figure ostioperosis is a MAJOR concern for him.

In addition, if his brain were to continue to control the process of running he would have a considerable task at managing to accurately predict and avoid obsticles that go from being annoying to projectile. Ask your favorite motorcycle rider what it's like to take a grasshopper to the forehead at seventy miles an hour and whether or not she saw it.

Believe it or not, I actually don't have a problem with this one either. Well, other than Sam Rami's point about "if multi-million dollar chemical companies haven't been able to figure out how to make this, how can a high-school science whiz do it in his Aunt's basement?", but I'm willing to cut him some slack. The thing I do have a problem with is the fact that webs generally don't degrade quickly. Several species of spiders will eat their own webs and respin them the next day. Left in a semi-protected environment, some webs can last centuries.

So who's been cleaning up New York after Spidey.
