Ok, calm down kikia. Like you, I had to have four teeth extracted prior to having my braces fitted. I had no idea what to expect and was too nervous and overwhelmed to remember to ask any questions BEFORE the procedure or even listen to their instructions. I left the surgery in a semi-drugged haze, unable to speak and realised that I had no idea what I was supposed to do. I found that my first two extractions bled a fair bit the first day, mainly because I was very concious of the holes and accidently kept prodding them but also because the root of one of my teeth was hooked over and was very difficult to remove (picture the nurse having to physically hold me in the chair).

The second lot of extractions went a lot more smoothly - you will know what to expect and understand what aggrevates the bleeding. Hang in there! I didn't mind the whole extraction thing... once it's over with, you can look forward to having your braces put on and the amazing process that follows. Mind you, I'm only in week 6 of my treatment but I have already seen a lot of changes.

Best of Luck, you'll wonder why you were so worried at the end of this...
