Hi

Well, to start off im 16 and have ceramics on my top front 6 and the rest are metal. At first when my parents FINALLY got me into an ortho i didnt really know what i was in for. I was given the option of gold, ceramics(later finding out only for the front 6) metal or invasilign. I saw the advertisement for invasilign and the teen you are talking about. She says how she doesnt want "Ugly metal braces" for her senior pictures and prom. It almost made me cry because i then realized that i would have to go through my senior pictures and other high school functions up untill november 2005 with braces. At the time it was a big deal for me, all started by that commercial. After i got my braces on tho I found that i am so glad that i did it. My ortho even said they he almost always has to finish with braces for invasilign patients for a few months. If it comes down to having senior pictures with braces i will just have to deal with it. Also i have found out that you and get the braces airbrushed off, which i might do for some, but not all.

If someone just wanted to spend all that money for invasilign for a few pictures without braces, in my opinion, they are crazy!

Also, i found this site and if all of you can do this as adults, i can do it at 16!

Lauren
