Subject: Spacers in! Question...

Got the rubber spacers put in the top molars today. I go back in three weeks to get the top braces put on, and get a cavity filled in a bottom molar. The spacers went in easy and there's no pain so far -- just feels like I have some particularly rubbery pieces of grissle stuck in my teeth. The impressions weren't bad either -- the goo had little or no taste and I didn't get that feeling that it was oozing down my throat.

The assistant didn't mention anything about foods I should avoid with the spacers in, and I didn't think to ask. I don't plan on having any really sticky foods anyway, but I do have some chewy things like power bars (and I plan to use the next three weeks to eat like there's no tomorrow!). Has anybody here dislodged spacers with certain foods? Will my sonicare brush knock 'em out?

-Gary
