I had my spacers in for several weeks. I was given ten replacements and instruction on how to replace them should any fall out- I used each and every one of them.

My teeth were really close together, so there really was not too much risk of them coming out on their own during the first week or so. However, my paranoia and obsession with keepnig my teeth clean forced me to floss even between the teeth with the spacers. Since I had the replacements, I was not to worried.

I did dislodge a couple that way, but I was quickly able to replace them. I don't remember losing any while eating any particular food, but I did notice some missing every once in awhile.

Good luck, and congratulations on beginning your quest for a great and straight smile.
