Cookie is SOO right. I had my first adjustment today (6 weeks since I had my braces put in.) At first I thought I would NEVER enjoy eating anything again, but little by little, it got easier.
I can TOTALLY see the improvement in my teeth. My problem is crowding, and I had 4 bicuspids removed (2 on top, 2 on bottom. Mostly, my crowding is on top with the inscisors (fangs??) They were almost horizontal, but in 6 weeks, they are definately starting to come down.
I have to have braces for 24+ years :>( AND, I am 59 years old, but I still think it will be worth it.
I promise you it WILL get easier.
I wasn't planning on going to my 40th HS reunion because of my braces, and then, one morning I woke up and realized that they were kind of cute. (OK, everyone, call me weird, but I guess I am getting used to my face).
Hang in there
As my kids would say....
It's ALL GOOD.
