Preliminary with your orthodontist? I'm not sure what that is. Are you getting spacers then? If so, it could be a week or more. It depends. I had to wait several weeks from the time I got my spacers before I got bonded and banded.

The answer to your second question is very fluid. It differs from orthodontist to orthodontist. Your best bet is to ask someone at your ortho's office.
