Hi! I had to have 4 extractions of all my second premolars as my teeth are very over crowded. I wouldn't worry about your wisdom teeth, some people never have them come through (I'm 23 and mine are still nicely tucked away) and even if they do come through, your orthodontist will know what's best for you in the big scheme of things.

As for your chip addiction, go easy on them for the first few weeks and once your teeth aren't feeling as sore, give them a go - moderation and patience are the keys! I had to give up SO many things I love (I've got a really sweet tooth and miss my chewy sweets)... I love your idea of gorging yourself on the tostitos before you have the braces on... I did that with chocolate. Now I've got 18-24 months to shift the extra kilos I put on in that week prior to getting braces!! Good Luck and enjoy the process!
