 I found this site the other day whilst looking for info on my treatment. My ortho has just given me elastics with the instructions to wear them 24/7 except when eating and brushing. He warned me that if i left them out for more than 2 hours at a time, it would set my treatment back by a day each time due to the teeth moving back to where they came from and it would become increasingly harder to move the teeth. I'm not sure if this was a scare tactic or not but he's got me worried because the nature of my job makes it impractical to wear them during the day.
