My ortho did everything, the etching too. The assistant assisted by holding the suction. I knew my ortho was going to place the brackets as I had seen him placing them on a kid before but really its also pretty surprising in a way too. It takes a while to do the placement and I didn't think he'd be able to afford that time with me. But then again, this is where I'm thankful for an ungreedy ortho who doesn't book himself so tightly that he can't spend a little extra time with his patients.
