I agree with Naomi, it really depends on how you approach the situation. I havent seen any difference in attracting guys since braces its all about attitude. I went to a ball last night and was grinning the whole time during photos, eating whatever I liked. I have a friend that has recently had hers off at the age of 21 and they effected her self esteem much more than me, She has all these strange habits now like covering up her mouth and so on.
Anyway for all those that do think its their braces that are not helping them in the dating stakes think about what kind of man/woman you are trying to attract, you dont want to date somebody that cant look past a few bits of metal. Braces is by no means an excuse to take yourself off the market (to b blunt). So just go out and have fun and focus on the person you are not the person you are going to look like in the future.
