Can you see through the "tooth-colored" or "glow-in-the-dark" ligs?

One of the positives I have found with regard to clear ligatures is that I can easily spot the food that is stuck behind the lig, between the arch wire and bracket. I use the Denticator dental pick to get into those hard to reach spots. I can’t image not being able to see behind there.
