I went for an adjustment last week. This month will mark my 2 years and 5 month anniversary in braces. I'm definitely going to exceed that 24-30 month estimated treatment time. Anyway, ortho bent another archwire for me and I had pain where it's supposed to be for a couple of days. In six weeks when I see him next he'll check on the root position (for those of you who haven't read my story here before, I'm missing the upper lateral incisors and my canine roots are stubbornly tilted forward, not leaving enough room for the implants) with a panorex. Assuming that the roots are now where they should be (and that's a big assumption, given the fact that my ortho has been working on these two teeth exclusively for almost a year and a half and they've barely budged), there is still work to be done - particularily in bringing the upper bicuspids down. I think the bite needs some work as well. I want something to happen, darnit!!! I haven't had any detectable tooth movement in quite some time (I'm talking over a year here). It's not my ortho's fault...my teeth are just stubborn. The desired movement is under the gums, where the only way to check is by the x-rays that I get every six months. Even if something is happening, I can't see it. Hey, at least I have my very own assistant lady. My ortho won't let anyone but Denise work on me. I'm gonna send her some flowers if those x-rays look good.

Yes, I'm whining, but I've earned it. Rant over. Thanks for reading.
