 Has anyone ever had to have their tonsils out before having braces? I have very large tonsils and an orthodontist told me I should see a ENT first to see if they need to be removed (I am 26 and I know that they do not like to do it for adults). I do have a obstructed airway (mouth breather) but also have an overbite and weak chin so I am not sure if the obstruction is due to my tonsils. I have seen ENTs a few years back because of sinisitis but they had not said anything about my tonsils except they were large. Does anyone have any input?
