I'm sorry your husband isn't being more supportive.

I got my braces when I was 29 and my husband laughed at me the first day too. Now after 2 1/2 years of having them on, he thinks they are cute and I think he'll actually miss them when they come off.

Good luck. You and everyone else will get used to them.
