 I'm 33 and just got my braces on today. I'm not feeling very confident about my appearance at the moment. My husband isn't crazy about the idea of me getting braces. He said he is most concerned about the cost. When he saw me with the braces for the first time today, he just snickered and said he thought I was getting the braces that are clear. (I've got the Damon clear brackets--but there is still a lot of obvious metal showing). Not exactly the response I had hoped for. So, any suggestions for dealing with a less than supportive spouse? Do the spouses get used to the braces eventually???????
