Subject: What does this mean?

In a letter to my dentist, my orthodontist has written:
"Approximately 3 months following debanding/debonding, occlusal equilibrations may be necessary to reduce and possibly eliminate the occulsal interferences. I shall take the liberty of arranging this service with a specialist, inless I am advised to the contrary."

What does this mean?? My dentist says it is functional and it will cost another $450 on top of what I am paying him. Has anyone had this done or has to have it done? What kind of specialist does it?

Thanks again!!
