The impressions were easy. My teeth feel as if they belong to someone else--big, but smooth and roomy against my lips compared to brackets! The crossbites that I have never felt in my life are rubbing my lips and feel as if they are standing out too far! My bite is not one yet--nothing seems to fit well! The ortho said after a month in retainers, he will go over the bite again to shape and smooth, but he wants it to settle first. A debanding present from the orth--besides a cake and a professional photo certificate--was a professional set of Crest Whitening Strips with whitening toothpaste and an electric toothbrush. They monitor that to see how it works. Long before braces I tried that toothpaste and it removed all the lining in my mouth, so I sure hope it works this time because now that they are straight, I find myself wanting them lighter, too!
