Let me tell you...after 2 1/2 years in braces, I welcomed retainers!! The tiny bit is discomfort for 10 hours per day is NOTHING compared to the sore gums, lips, cheeks and 'should-I-or-shouldn't-I-eat-this?' debate!

Yes, I lisp a bit, but it is a small price to pay for being able to floss in 1/10th the time-sans braces.

Everyone may not feel the same way, but I was more than happy to trade the braces for retainers.
