Subject: Retainers worse than braces?? Author: Leslie [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 20:45:34 07/18/04 Sun So at the local parade yesterday an acquaintance of ours noticed my braces, said he had them in his twenties/thirties, and said "it'll go fast, but just wait until you get the retainer -- that's worse than the braces!" What on earth did he mean, I can't imagine the retainer being difficult to wear, my daughter had one and it was just light plastic, didn't seem obtrusive, she never complained about discomfort.
