Hi Brandi,

Congrats to you on your new braces!! I have had mine for almost a month. I have all ceramic on top, and metal on the bottom. As far as stains from colored ligs, I have never heard of that. If it were happening, then I am sure someone on this forum who has worn them and had thier braces removed would have reported colored stains from the ligs. So I really wouldn't worry about it.

I have clear (tooth colored) ligs on top, and hot pink on the bottoms. I drink coffee and tea, and have eaten tons of red and orange and even green jello. I make sure and brush really well after eating or having my coffee, and have not had any problems with staining. So eat what you want, and try out some colored ligatures if you want to!!
