I'm sure my solution to this problem is not for everyone... but here is what I did. A glass or two of wine before bed helped to relax me enough that my jaw would relax... and I slept with my mouth open and relaxed. Mind you, I am not a lush of any kind but I was going crazy trying to sleep because none of my teeth touched in back once I got my braces on and only the upper fronts crashed on the lower front brackets, which were all extremely sore. I'm not sure you should drink wine and take tylenol at the same time. However, I just found that a glass or two of wine helped relax me enough that I slept soundly and my mouth, jaw and everything relaxed and I would wake up well rested. I guess you could give it a try and see if it works for you. good luck. mary
