.. and call me wet! I actually *do* have little elastics around each of my four front brackets!!! Here all this time I didn't think I had any on them, when at my adjustment today, my Ortho started digging away at my bracket and I had *no* idea what she was doing. She was removing the old ones to put on new ones! lol I had to laugh. She's quite pleased with the way things are going (me too) and apparently during my next appt in four weeks she'll be replacing both arch wires - she let out a little gleeful 'yeeee' when she said it - I, of course, was like "ok.. um, that's a good thing?" lol Now, seven hours later, the new adjustment pain is kicking in... ah the joys of being me. ;o)
We briefly talked about retainers as I was looking for a ballpark price on them for later, and she mentioned that I would most likely have permanent retainers attached to the bottom and the top. She also mentioned I would have a temp one for nighttime. As I was placing my elastics back on before I left, I was chatting with one of her assistants and she told me they have a lady who is a bit older than I (I'm 38 but didn't ask) who is coming to them for her THIRD pair of braces - she never wore her retainer once she had completed her previous two sets of braces. I've heard that over n' over, so I will certainly be wearing mine!
