I think it is funny how people make such a big deal about getting braces. Katy your getting braces! There a piece of cake, the two years will fly by. Yes you will get used to them, the spacers are the worst part. Braces are an investment in yourself, there isn't much else you can say that about. Unless you like soaking your teeth in a jar every night, suck it up and get those braces! You won't regret it two years from now! Think of the millions before you who have had braces - teenagers mostly. If they can do it I think you can.
p.s. - Stop the pity party. Your an adult. Spacers hurt yes, but no one wants to hear you whine about them. Are you maybe looking for a little attention? (that's my Dr.Phil side talking. Don't think I am picking on you, I want you to be happy and happy will be straight teeth. You wouldn't have gone as far as to get spacers if you weren't serious!)
