I have to agree with everyone about spacers being awful. I had rubber spacers that stuck out so, I was constantly chewing on rubber. My molars are really short so even my molar bands are taller than my molars and needed to be pushed down. I don't think you are whining, I think you are just uncertain that you will be able to tolerate braces. I was the same way, but I had already put down a non-refundable deposit so, I had to get my braces after a week of spacers. The first night that I got my braces, I felt a slight pressure and tightness on all my teeth. In fact, the first night I woke up in the middle of the night with this unusual feeling on my teeth and when I touched my teeth, I remembered I had gotten braces and fell back asleep. This pressure and tightness will soon pass and you'll forget that you even have braces on. Whether you get braces or not, 2 years will pass, might as well have nice straight teeth after those 2 years. After some of your adjustments, you might regret getting braces because you'll have some pain again, but that too will pass.
