Quite frankly, if you asked a person about cyclo-cross here, they would only know vaguely about it through guessing something. I don't think there's a Cyclo-Cross magazine near me, so I rely (of course) on the DP for results!

You're right -Belgium and Holland absolutely dominate cyclo-cross. They are the countries, though, that care about it most and even if others care more, they don't have the backing or tradition. Belgium and Holland are big rivals though, so it's always interesting. Matt Ellis and Roger Hammond got a few points over the weekend - Ellis impressed especially.
You could impose time handicaps if things got incredibly out of hand, but there's no way of dealing with it. Still, cyclo-cross is still fairly unpredictable with various possible winners - even if they are only Belgian or Dutch.
