Hello,
I also am a descendent of Isaac Walker from Scotland. Based upon the work of other Walker researchers, and my own recent research my line to Isaac Walker is through his son "Francis Marion Walker".

Joseph Benton Grigg - Madeline Joyce Walker - Issac Newton Walker - Willis Hirem Walker - Richmond Walker - Willis Walker - Francis Marion Walker - Issac Walker

I have recently visited the grave site of Issac and Nathan Walker, its in good condition and two plaques are located within the small cemetery. I do not know how many graves are in the family cemetery as there are no markers except for the two plaques. However, there is plenty of room for many more graves. It might be interesting to take a sonic survey of the ground to see if other graves are also located there.

I am descended from Isaac and Elizabeth through their son, Charles and his wife, Sarah Ryan. My great grandmother was Hettie Walker, a triplet of Hattie and another that died at birth. She was from Kentucky. Her father was Thomas A. Walker, son of Thomas Jefferson Walker, son of Isaac William Walker who was the son of Charles & Sarah. Confused yet? Haha. Now here's the interesting part. Thomas A. Walker married Mary J. Walker. Mary was the daughter of Isaac Jefferson Walker, son of George S. Walker, son of Isaac William Walker, who of course was the son of Charles. Hopefully, it filtered out before it got to me! haha. Being that Thomas Jefferson was a brother of George S, I think it's safe to say that Thomas A and Mary J were at least third cousins. Whatever.

I'm hoping that some of ya'll have gotten information on the ORIGINAL Isaac's brothers, Charles and Nathan, who helped him build the family home in America. Or maybe ya'll have found parents for Isaac and Elizabeth.

Come on cousins, let's share this information!

Melissa

I believe that Ezekiel Walker, son of Benjamin Josiah and his wife, Catherine, was my ancestor. His first wife was Lcinda Gibson, who died shortly after the 1840 census of Newton County, MS. 2nd wife was, Martha Jane and I believe that her maiden name was Williams and that she was the daughter of Roland Williams.

My great-grandfather Francis(Frank) Walker was born about1830; in 1850 census was living in household of William and Evalina Brown's home in Simpson Co.,Ms.; in 1852 married their daughter Catherine (Katie) and died July 1860. Their children were John Jefferson b. 21 Apr. 1853 in Westville, Simpson Co., Nancy (Nannie), William Howard, Lucy and Frank William. John Jefferson was a Baptist minister. Married 3 times, all 11 children were with lst wife Sarah Jane Brown. One, Jefferson Winfield, born 8 Dec.1880 married Ida Eugenia Brumfield on 24 Jan. 1903. They had Hilton, Mildred, John James, Arthur Brumfield and me ( Ernest Winfield Walker). Ida died 1958; Jeff in 1964. I have never been able to find the e the parents of Francis Walker. He has the right name and place to be related to Francis Walker who married Charity Bush; but HOW?

As a male Walker descendant, have you considered participating in the Walker DNA project? They are looking for descendants from the Francis Walker line to connect to the established lines. Right now there is an offer to pay for it. Let me know if you are interested.

Amy,
Hello. My husband is Joseph Walker. We live in MS. I believe from some preliminary research online and at cemetaries here that his Walker lineage is as follows:
Joseph Walker (my husband)-> Dewey Walker->, Aubrey Walker->, William Zeno Walker->, William Henry Walker->, Willis W. Walker-> Henry Walker-> Francis Walker and possibly including Issac Walker somewhere in his ancestry.
You mentioned a DNA study. Is this still ongoing? We have no sons and my husband has no brothers or male Walker cousins from his father's only brother so I'd be interested to find out if this is something ongoing or has it been completed?
Any information you can offer to direct me in our pursuit of the Walker family line would be greatly appreciated.
We are rather new at this family research. Please correct my lineage above if you see that we are in error in researching his family line.
Thank you,
Lana Walker

Isaac Walker's wife was not Elizabeth Stewart. It was Lady Elizabeth Stuart, of royalty. They feared being caught and it took them five years to get to America. The story is on the internet. Just look up their names. I am researching Richard Walker, , their grandson. He was son of Rev. Francis Walker of Simpson Co., Mississippi. It appears he married twice, but first family is unknown. He married second Mrs. Elizabeth Sellers Thurmon and they had more children. I need first wife and children of Richard. Can anybody help? Thanks >I am looking for family members of Isaac Walker and
