Date Posted: 21:21:33 11/25/07 Sun

GGGG Grandfather John A Walker, b. 1770, died before 1850. who married Caroline Blair (??). Family history for the next 3 generations comes from Izard County, Arkansas. Hit the brick wall when trying to figure out anything before John A. Walker in 1770. Would like to know where he was born, who is father was and grandfather and where they came from. John A. Walker had a son named John A. Walker(married to Ellender Chism), who had a son named Hartwell B. Walker(married twice to Elizabeth Ann Gray and Dollie Sims), who had Solon F. Walker (married to Emmer Clementine Corbin), who had Fred H. Walker (married to Josie Mae DeBoard), father to my father, Robert L. Walker, Sr.(married to Janice Marie Carra). Hartwell died in 1901 in Fulton County, AR. Solon died in 1945 in Sedan, KS and Fred died in 1972 in Sedan, KS. Solon was born in 1872 in Izard Co., AR; Fred was born in 1901 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma Territory. Would GREATLY APPRECIATE ANY information someone may have on my ancestors supposedly from Scotland, maybe England. A lot of the information we have found after 1770 was found on the website below.

i AM TRYING TO LOCATE THE FATHER OF MY GREAT GRANDFATHER. hIS name was Charles Walker and he was born 10-23-1892. He had a brother named Johnny, who was killed in a mining accident in Mexico Ky. He had another brother Everret, who lived in Ohio. He also had a sister named Lula M. Walker. She is listed as being an orphan and living with the Silas Manus family in the 1910 census for Crittenden County, KY.
I do not know who their parents are or if there are other siblings. I have been told that their parents may have been from Virginia and that they traveled around a lot. I am not sure why they were orphaned. Any help and information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

My Great Grandfather was Comly Walker.
His Father was Samuel Carey Walker.
In searching for Samuel Carey Walker's parents, I came across a Walker Line I'd not found before and may be the answer to your Thoms Walker question.
Lewis Walker left Wales in 1686, arrived Pa 1687 (13 months) settled in Radnor. Married: Mary Morris April 22, 1693
Moved to Tredyffrin Twp, Chester County Pa in 1705
Their children were:
Daniel: B 1694 - 1772
Elizabeth: @ 1696
Joseph: @ 1698
Hannah: @ 1700
Enoch: @1702
Abel: @ 1705
***Isaac: @ 1707/10

Isaac Married Sarah Jerman.
Their Children:
***Joseph: @ 1730
Mary: @1732
Lewis: @ 1735
Mary
Hannah
Benjamin
Azael,
Rachel
Abel
Isaac
Leah

***Joseph Married SARAH THOMAS
THEY HAD 13 CHILDRN BETWEEN @1756 AND 1785
Zillah
Isaac
Priscilla
THOMAS
joseph
Sarah
Mary
Naomi
Lewis
Joseph (2nd joseph, 1st probably died)
Enoch
William
Jesse

If the listing for these children is chronological, according to birth, this Thomas may have been born between 1763 & 1770.

If you have no indication of another "thomas" in your line, it stands to reason that he was possibly named after his mother's maiden name, which, in this case, was THOMAS.

If you have any information regarding Parents of:
Samuel Carey (Cary) Walker 1820 - 1899
Married (4th mo, 10th 1844 = June 10, 1844)
Louisa Rebecca Wells 1821 - 1892

Both sets of parents were born in Pa. Samuel and Louisa had 4 children, one of whom (Comly Walker) is my ggrandfather.
Samuel and Louisa were Quaker, buried in Friends Meeting Burial Ground, Horsham, Montgomery County, Pa. I have no lineage PRIOR to Samuel C.

I am looking for information on the parents and siblings of my ggg grandfather, Thomas Walker. He was born abt 1776 in PA, died 1831 Ohio, married Mary Shellenbarger abt 1796/97, probably in Bullskin Twp, Fayette Co PA. Mary Shellenbarger was born 1778/9, probably in (West) Hempfield Twp, Lancaster Co PA, died 1862 Ohio. Mary Shellenbarger and her family moved from (West) Hempfield, Lancaster to Bullskin Twp, Fayette Co PA in 1790 when she was only abt age 12.
Thomas Walker and Mary Shellenbarger had 12 children, 11 of which were born in Fayette Co PA. I have all of their names and dates, some spouses, and all of my direct line down from their 12th child, Joseph Walker 1826-1895.
I don't know where my Thomas Walker was born in PA. Some speculate that his father was the Thomas Walker in the 1790 census in Hempfield, Lancaster Co PA. If so, there were a lot of people living in the household, maybe siblings (2-7-4). Some think that the John Walker that married Barbara Rist was one of his brothers.
I'd appreciate any information on either my Thomas Walker or the Thomas Walker in the Hempfiled, Lancaster Co 1790 census. Thanks.

I'm looking for children and grandchildren of David Isreal Walker.
He was married to Katie Masier and they had 14 children and lived in Alva, Oklahoma during the late 1800's and early 1900's before he left his family and then evidently moved to British Columbia. Some of the children from that marriage were: Jerry, Mina, Martha, Charlie, Bill, Jasper, and Blanch.

I heard he remarried, perhaps more than once.

He died in 1948 in Cranbrook, B.C. at the age of 85 or 88.

I am interested in locating relatives from all family
members.

Looking for additional information on ancestors and descendants of George Walker, born Prince Georges County, Maryland October 17, 1758 of Francis [G1712]according to records of St. John's Church. The church is located at Broad Creek, south of Washington, D.C., between Washington and Fort Washington. The parish served a large area, and little inference can be made of where his family was living when George was born. Revolutionary Service. On February 4th, 1777, at the age of 17 and a half, George Walker enlisted as a matrosse (gunner's helper) for three years. He was in Company #6, whose officers were John Drawbridge, Captain and Michael McNemona, First Lieutenant, as it stood at Valley Forge June 4, 1778.
