JOHN WILLIAM WALKER born 1817 Tennessee or Virginia, married Melinda TUCKER 1846 perhaps in Monroe Co. Tn.
Children of John and Melinda: Mahala Walker, John William Walker Jr., Eliza Jane Walker, Joseph or Josiah M Walker, James M. Walker, David Walker, Andrew Lafayette Walker, Tobitha Walker. Most of these children were born in Johnson County Illinois.

Any info on John's parents or brothers or sisters would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know if this family moved to Caldwell Co KY. My wife has an Eliza Jane Walker,b 1853, who married John Lilburn Storm. She subsequently died in Caldwell Co. Thanks Riley Walker

I don't think the same family in Caldwell Co., Kentucky. My grand-grandmother was Eliza Jane or Elizabeth Jane Walker, daughter of John William Walker and she married Samuel Billingsley in Johnson County, Illinois in 1864. I do not have correct birthday in for her but believe they pretty much stayed around Southern Illinois area.

Also looking for more information on John William Walker - if anyone has parents, etc. please share.

John William Walker's Parents were William Walker and Olive (Medley). William's b. 1796 or 1797 in North Carolina.
d. 1856
Olive Medley b. 1800 in Virginia. d. 1860
Thats as far as I can find right now.
