I let my dogs bite the suit all over because they understand this is where they can do this. My dogs also know that when there is a sleeve out that is what they are going to bite. Haven't you ever noticed how excited a dog will get when a helper just starts to drag out his equipment to do bite work, without even aggitating the dog. They understand more than what some helpers give them credit for. My dogs will bite for real and that is how I want them. If a helper is scarred of my dogs then so be it. I have never had a dog in 13 years bite a schutzhund helper on the leg because it was taught the suit work. If a dog or helper is too weak then there might be concearn for a bad bite.
