responsible breeders in the US get CERFs done which checks for this and other eye abnormalities. It is the concensous of the canine opthamologist in the US that this is not a problem in any of the dogs in the Doberman Pinscher unless they come from European lineage of the last few decades. There are other breeds that it is a problem in, but they say that they have rarely, and some never, seen it in the American lines. It was first noticed here in lines sent over from the UK and more recently in European lines sent here. I don't know if Nemesis Gadis was CERF tested, but being from von Neerlands Stam lines, I would hope so, and I would assume asking Jeannette Mitchell would be the way to find that out. I don't know that CERF has a complete listing of all dogs and their results available on the internet - it would be a huge list as CERFs are offered at almost all sporting dogs specialty shows, many all-breed shows, and any number of events and is a very inexpensive test. Even the disreputable breeders in the US will CERF as it is cheap - they will do the hips, the CERF and the vWD - so they can get away cheap and look like they care about health... even the albino greeders do these tests.
