First of all the idea of the old floodlights being erected at the new ground is totally preposterous...I think we'd sooner use candles as it would be much brighter!!!

The clubhouse is admittedly not the most aesthetically pleasing sight, but we are in the process of finding a suitable cosmetic alternative. It is worth noting that the new McDonalds is pretty much the same kind of concept, but with a brick like finish, so it's far from an inconceivable idea that the eventual finish of our club can't be of a similar nature! What I would say is please wait and see before you get too disheartened.

You have to remember that Whitemoss Park would have needed a great deal of money spent on it to bring it up to scratch, and as the millionaires tend to give Skem a wide berth, the options were fairly limited. So in the end a move was rather inevitable. Now at the end of the day whichever way you view the situation, we didn't have a social club of our own - but now we do. That is progress. We now go into a polished ground with absolutely no debt, far greater facilities & prospects for the future. Progress! Progress! Progress!
