As directors of Westgate Interactive we have made a longterm contract to Skelmersdale United as main club sponsors after the previous sponsor withdrew just before the start of the new season. This is not only in terms of a substantial monetary commitment but also in terms of promotional, marketing and the future commercial development of the club both on and off the pitch. This I am sure everyone will agree can only be the way forward for Skelmersdale United Football Club, enhancing the profile and status within the town and beyond.
We will be attracting many new local sponsors as well as organising events etc (first of which at sports centre on Saturday) throughout the year to raise much needed funds for the club as a whole from our junior teams to the first team.
We are an extremely community based organisation and see the development of links between the club and the community vital for its long term future.
With regard to the new stadium being named after our company this is a great honour as both directors have lived and worked in the town for over 35 years, as well as it being great for name awareness and marketing our own company that will obviously directly benefit Skem from both their marketing and promotional aims. The set up at football clubs is changing dramatically and it is vitally important that Skelmersdale United make the most of all opportunities to ensure its future success and stability.
We are happy to discuss any ideas or suggestions for the club that all supporters have especially with regard to both fundraising and sponsorship and of course any help would be greatly appreciated.
