A remarkable scoreline, United's biggest home victory since joining the North West Counties Football League.

Stuart Rudd found his form again, firing his second hat trick of the season, bringing his tally up to 25 goals for the season so far.

New signing Mike Heverin looks like the perfect foil for Stuart Rudd. The 6ft 3inch centre forward weighed in with a brace, as did the returning Phil Cooney.

Most spectacular of all goals had to that of Peter Holcroft, a 25-yard belter.

A good result against decent opposition, showing a excellent return to form, just in time for their visit to leaders and fierce rivals Prescot.
