Alright, i dont know the true story behind the newville haunted house but i've been there a few times. I can definitely say its freaky and you feel a strange presence while there. the most difficult part is walking through the grown up brush in front of the house to get up to the house. It's an old house with much vandalism. As for the strange force which doesnt let you in the basement isnt true. but the basement is the freakyist part of the whole thing. There is obviously sacrafices preformed in this part of the house. if you look down there before entering you will see a dead cat that looks brutally murdered. The real freaky part is that this cat was in the basement in the summer of 2002 and still remains in the same place this summer(2003) not decayed or anything, its fur is still on it and it lies there dead. when you enter the basement across you will see a hole in the ground with other small animals that have been killed. through the basement you can go to the backyard. this is creepy too. i heard there was a grave yard in the back yard. i wasnt seeing it until i looked straight down under my feet where i was standing and saw a tombstone under my feet. FREAKOUT!. ok there was no stange forces just straight up creapy house. if you walk around the back of the house you will walk in a old unmaintained cornfield and a will see old brokendown car just sitting as if someone just up and left the house. for some strange reason. when you are in the house you can walk all around the downstairs, basement and second floor. theres an attic but the steps have been torn down and there is no way of entering the attic. i am yet to know what is up there! dont know the true story but suposedly that is where the man hung his daughter. im not jumping to any conclusions because i dont really know what happened with this house. If you go, go in a group, bring flashlights and go exploring. Its definitly creepy.
