I liked it purely for the visual effects, the acting, and the characters.

The stories were "okay", I guess, but I didn't feel they were all that compelling. I had also hoped they'd intertwine a little more.

Like everyone else said, Mickey Rourke was great, as was Bruce Willis.

One question I have: "What was the fascination with everyone getting shot, stabbed, and robbed of their nuts?! That happenned like half a dozen times in the movie!

Anyway, I thought it was a good and unique film. I like how Rodriguez tends to think "outside of the box."
