Subject: what about the movie version?
In reply to: Silk 's message, "The Poseidon Adventure." on 02:47:01 10/09/05 Sun

strange how competing versions of this re-make are being made at the same time. This hald-baked update going straight to TV. By the way, I thought Peter Weller gave up acting to become a college history professor?

The big-screen version is just being called "Poseidon" and is being directed by Wolfgang Petersen, he of Air Force One and Troy fame. Actually my favorite film from him is In The Line Of Fire. Anyway, the cast includes Josh Lucas, Kurt Russell and Richard Dreyfuss. I'm not sure this is a straight remake since the TV version actually has the same or similar character names and this one seems to be using new characters.
