Subject: So what would you like to see remade?

For some reason it seems this question may have been asked before, but since the subject of remakes has been brought up, seemed like a good time to ask.

Most remakes, I think we'd agree, are inferior to their originals. Off the top of my head I'm trying to think of a remake that was actually better than the original, and I can't.

That said, are there any films that you think should be remade, and could actually surpass the original? And if so, who would you like to see direct or star in the remake?
